If you want to know what the Chinese weevils are for, you should first know a little bit about the history of this species.
Chinese weevils are just one of more than sixty thousand sub-species of weevils (scientific name Curculionidea ) and as the name implies, were originally discovered in China. Like their cousins, Chinese weevils are phytophagous (or herbivorous), meaning they only eat vegetables and other organic foods.
But that is not the only reason that Chinese weevils reproduce en masse, since many scientific laboratories around the world create colonies of these insects to study their medicinal properties (of which we will talk below).
What are Chinese weevils for?
We have previously talked about the power of Chinese weevils on cancer, but it turns out These insects are also effective in treatments against other famous diseases such as the following:
- Diabetes.
- Arthritis.
- Parkinson.
- Psoriasis.
- Asthma.
- Vitiligo.
- Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
- And many say they even serve to lose weight.
The way in which Chinese weevils are used may vary depending on the treatment, but in most of them they are simply eaten. Whether alone or accompanied by other ingredients such as honey.
We clarify that all this information comes from personal testimony of those who have been treated with Chinese beetles, and that in no way has this been scientifically proven. That is why these types of treatments are known as alternative medicine.
If you are also curious about where Chinese weevils live, then we remind you that we also did a Post about it.
